The Best Airlines for In-flight Wi-Fi -All You Need to Know

You might think otherwise, but in reality, there are very free takers of Wi-Fi services provided in-flight.

And probably this is the reason why the number of airlines that provide the facility doesn’t count too many.

Nonetheless, the craze is slowly catching, and given how people are hooked to the internet and how it’s become almost an integral part of one’s existence, airline providers do realize how Wi-Fi connectivity in long-haul flights will soon become one of the key criteria while preferring one airline over the other.

However, at present only the following airlines give their passengers the luxury of FREE Wi-Fi :

Jet Blue

Probably the best in the sky; the Fly-Fi facility is available on almost all A320 aircraft and the Airbus 321. Jet Blue Airlines is dedicated to cover the rest of the fleet soon.

Emirates

About 60% of all its fleet has Wi-Fi connectivity, with the power of OnAir service provider. A minimal amount of data is available free in all classes.

Norwegian

Currently not available on any of the long-haul flights, but the airlines are soon to expand the services.Turkish Airlines:

Uses the Panasonic net provider, offers free Wi-Fi for business class flight tickets for some of its fleet like B777-300ERs, as well as A330-300s.

Air China

Free but not on your phone.

Philippine Airlines

Do check the routes on which the facility is available. It is available on Boeing777, A330, and A340s.

Hong Kong Airlines

The facility is available on its Airbus A330-200 aircraft. It is free, and the connectivity is decent enough.

Nok Air

Enjoy free Wi-Fi on domestic travel in Thailand.

Apart from these, other airlines that have reliable Wi-Fi offering, if you are ready to pay for it are:

  1. American Airlines
  2. Alaska Airlines
  3. Virgin America
  4. United
  5. Southwest Airlines
  6. Delta Airlines
  7. Lufthansa
  8. Etihad
  9. Singapore Airlines

Also, this is not an all comprehensive list.

So, you can check with the airlines to get detailed information or get in touch with some travel agents to give you a clear picture, before making any flight ticket bookings.
