The magnificent and iconic Chittorgarh Fort in Rajasthan is set to become the first in India to be illuminated all year. According to the Rajasthan government, the primary goal of this decision is to boost tourism in the region while also providing visitors with a unique experience.

Chittorgarh is contributing INR 8 crore to this initiative, which has already been approved by the Union Ministry of Culture. An extra effort will be made to combat the monkeys, who are notorious in the region for destroying the fort’s floodlights.

However, the presence of lightning all year does not imply that the fort will remain open all night. Visitors will be able to see the incredible fort from various vantage points. The project’s longest stretch is a 4 km long wall that will be visible from a distance of 20 km!
