All About JetBlue’s Policies: Cancellation, Refunds & Flight Rebooking

  • Cancellation by airline
  • Cancellation by a traveler.

Cancellation not only depends upon why and when you want the cancellation but also on the type of ticket you purchased.

If the cancellation of the flights is made by the airlines then the little remuneration is offered to the passengers.

But if the case is reversed, that means if the flight reservation is canceled by  the travelers, then the airline implicates a huge fees.

Cancellation Policies of JetBlue Airways:

Cancellation policies are parted into following ways:

Cancellations within 24 Hours

Just like any other airlines, JetBlue’s passengers are permitted to cancel their reservation within 24 hours from booking timings in order to request the full refund. No cancellation charges will occur.

JetBlue’s Other Booking Terms & Conditions:

  • Passengers are requested to make their bookings within one week or more, before the flight departure. Passenger who booked earlier or within a one week are eligible their cancellation within 24 hours without being charged.
  • Cancellation fee is credited to JetBlue Flight Credit, valid for one year.
  • There is also a ‘no show’ clause which says that if you do not show at the airport and don’t even cancel the flight, then all your money get seized

JetBlue offers the following facilities to its customers for the canceled flight by the airlines:

  • Full refund
  • Re-accommodation on the succeeding available flight, without any extra fee.
  • In case, the airline cancels any flight and is unable to avail customersany alternate transportation within one hour then passengers are entitled for the compensation.
  • JetBlue rejects fee-refunding for delay, diversions or changes due to any changes that are beyond airline control i.e. Any natural calamity say storm.
  • Also, the passengers who meet any on-board delays are permitted to claim compensations.

Refund Policies of JetBlue:

There are two types of fares offered by JetBlue:

  • Nonrefundable Fare
  • Refundable Fare

Non-refundable Fares: The passengers can cancel their reservation before the departure time of the flight via website or by contacting the airline, the concerned balance will be credited to your Jetcredit which can be used in future I.e within a year of the booking date, else you will get your money seized.

Refundable Fares: if the flight get canceled from the PNR before the departure time, only then a full refund is permitted via JetBlue. Flights which are not canceled before schedule departure are not eligible for a refund, where instead the ticket remains in open status for future use.

Mixed Fares Policy

If one part of the fare refundable and other is non-refundable then the cancellation policies will only apply to the refundable part and the other part’s money will be seized

Refundable Policy No-Show Policy

It is the thumb rule, if you want receive refund, then you must cancel the reservation before the departure. If a passenger falls under the category “no shows” but refundable policy, then the concerned amount be will be credited into their Jetcredit for one year future use.

No Show Policy For Nonrefundable:

Complete seizing of the money, no money is refunded.

Flights Rebooking:

If your reservation is canceled by the airline for any of the reasons or if  you got stuck with fee waiver issue, then you have the option of “rebooking” your flight without any payment under the label ‘Manage flights.’

Or you can directly contact the airline.

You only need to provide the following information:

  • Traveler information (e.g. name, e-mail, DOB, contact information)
  • Previous booking’s Confirmation Number
  • Facilities Provided by the Airlines Mentioned In The Previous Booking
  • Dates of Travel
  • Flight Number
