Baggage Policies: Travel with Care!
Jet Airways possesses both domestic and international short-haul aircraft, configured with single economy class, business and economy class cabins. Also, the international long-haul flights consist of first, economy and business class. With this, policies for baggage include different requirements. Here you go-

Damaged Baggage
- In case, your items or belongings get damaged during the airways screening, report it to Jet Airways representatives. You’ll get two options: luggage repairing arrangements or immediate settlement. The choice is yours!
- Keep in mind that if baggage is damaged due to over-weight or over-packing, then it is not covered under the policies.
- Make sure you pack your luggage securely and properly.
Lost Baggage Tracer
- Jet Airways’ agents are available to help you 24X7. They can assist you in tracing your lost items with the help of a tracking number that is provided to you initially.
- Baggage tracing may take some time. But, once found, the agents will deliver your lost baggage on your arrival or to your local address.
Delayed Baggage
- For your any delayed items, contact Jet Airways’ representatives and provide them with your contact number and baggage description.
- Once you report about the delayed baggage, an intensive search takes place immediately.
Special Baggage Policies
- A penalty is charged for item exceeding 158 cm.
- A passenger can carry any musical instrument of weighing not more than 75 kg but by booking an extra seat for placing it.
- Jet Airways allows pets like birds, dogs, rabbits, etc. Make sure a passenger carries pet in a proper size container, not made of plastic.
- Don’t pack jewelry, cash, official documents, certificates, identification records like valuable items in the checked baggage.
- Jet Airways allows passengers with Kirpan (significance of religion, Sikhism), not exceeding a total length of 9 inches. Also, Kirpan is not permitted in cabin baggage for international flights but can carry in check-in baggage.
