Here’s The 2 Week India Itinerary Perfect For Your First Trip To India
Literally everyone has India on their bucket list for travel at least once. Day #1 – Arrive In Delhi
You don’t have to do anything apart from simply arriving in Delhi. Try out some Indian food, get some rest and we’ll start everything on day 2.
Day #2 – Explore Delhi
If you want to explore Delhi in its raw form, visit the most famous places by using rickshaws, Uber, Ola or on foot. But since you are new, we’d suggest getting a tour guide to show you the best in the city without the added hassles.
Day #3 – Explore Delhi & Overnight Train To Varanasi
Visit the places you did not get to explore yesterday, from eateries, local markets and places of interest. Then, since you know that traveling by trains in India is a must, pre – book your journey to Varanasi on an overnight train simply because you have to get the full experience. However, we suggest booking in 2AC instead of the other options.
Day #4 – Explore Varanasi
Being one of the oldest cities in the world, Varanasi is iconic yet a great culture shock. Explore the Ghats lining the famous River Ganga and meander through the ancient streets of the city. Discover what Varanasi has to offer but in the evening, return to the Ghats to watch the evening Aarti ceremony that is nothing short of glorious.

Day #5 – Explore Varanasi & Overnight Train To Agra
Get up early this morning and go on a sunrise boat trip on the River Ganga. Day #6 – Explore Agra

Go see the Taj Mahal at sunrise and take a train to Jaipur. Do note that the Taj Mahal remains closed on Fridays. If this is your Day 7, visit Taj Mahal on Day 6.
Day #8 & #9 – Explore Jaipur
Jaipur is filled with amazing palaces, havelis and forts. Book your stay at one of the places and enjoy a completely traditional experience.

Day #10 – Train To Pushkar & Explore Pushkar
The town shows a completely different side of India so take some time to relax in this holy place.
Day #11 & #12 – Explore Pushkar
Take it slow and savor the sattvik (all vegetarian, no meat alcohol or onion garlic) foods available here. Stroll along the Lake to watch the Hindu ceremonies unfold at the banks. Don’t forget to see the sunset here and shop on the main street.
Day #13 – Train To Delhi
It is a pretty long journey so we’d simply suggest booking your stay in a different location to enjoy more of Delhi.
Day #14 – Leave Delhi
