US Tourist & Student Visa Hike: Costlier American Visa from May 30
The American dream is about to get much more pricey! Following a 70% rise in the charge for US employment-based visas earlier this year, the US has announced an increase in the fee for US tourist and student visas as well.
The non-immigrant visa application price will be raised from $160 to $185 beginning May 30. The application price for the E category will rise from $205 to $315, while the cost of a temporary labor visa will increase by $15. With thousands of individuals applying for various US visas, it will be interesting to observe how this affects tourism in the nation.
Aside from tourist and business visas, the United States receives a large number of student visa applications each year. And Indians are the primary recipients of these visas. In 2022 alone, nearly 1,25,000 Indian students were able to pursue their ambition of studying in the United States.
