7 Tips To Travel For Busy People

For all the busy people out there (practically everyone), this one is for you! Drowned in a sea of work and personal commitments, you are likely to be left without any ‘me’ time at your hands. But then the traveler in you peeps out now and then, forcing you to drop some of these things and jet off. Full of motivation to travel the world and have fun, you plan your big trip but how many times could you shut down your inner ‘important work’ server? You leave with the agenda of rejuvenating with nature or freshening up with some shopping but all you do is attend some online meetings sitting in a lavish hotel room! Not your original idea of a vacation, we suppose!

Remember the movie, ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’, our lives are like that of Arjun (Hrithik Roshan), working on a vacation. But he got out of it and found a new life during the trip! You need to do the same, traveling is the perfect way to know yourself and hear your own voice which is silenced by the cries of everyday chores. World Tourism Day is round the corner, you have the time to pack up and let yourself lose with these 7 travel tips and tricks!

Leave The Robot in You at Home

Come on, you are on a holiday and you want to relax. Hurrying through the sight-seeing, gulping down food, limiting sleeping and what not. Why? Just to save some time to attend those ‘urgent’ calls? You are human and not a robot, so you need to relax to rejuvenate and not batteries to charge up! Consider the extra time for check ins and outs, easy lobby breakfasts and peaceful sleeping before you make your itinerary!

Deal With ‘Necessities’ in Advance

Plan ahead of time, book in advance so you have ample time to put things in place. Renewing your car insurance, paying bills, submitting reports and other high priority things should be managed beforehand for the basic reason, they have ‘high priority’! You need to be free from these strings to experience the joy of traveling!

Pack Smart

You tend to lose on time when you don’t have the necessary things handy while traveling. Small sized toiletries, travel insurance documents, passport and other things that you will not use other than when you are traveling. Couldn’t you just store them in your closet as the travel drawer? It’ll save you time while packing, after all, you are busy!

Explore The Unknown

The more you steer clear of the tourist track, the more you’ll be focused on your trip! Roam around the city without fear, just head out without anything in mind and you’ll reach your inner self. Exploring the unexplored will keep you more focused and away from your gadgets! Indulge in activities that require your utmost attention like skiing or surfing. It will engage your body, mind, and soul all at once and you will be able to feel the heights of serenity!

Live It and Not Finish It

Itineraries are prepared even before we think of what we want to pack with us on our big trip. They are more or less jam packed and after a while seems like a to-do list more than fun filled activities you’d want to indulge in! Take a break and reflect on “Do I really want to rush out of this serene sunset to head to the club?”. Though the places on your itinerary may be the must visit but you are here to treat yourself so do it your way!

Restrictions On Online Time

Some people are strict about it, they just switch their phones OFF and enjoy every moment of their time away. But that is not possible or rather that can sometimes devoid you of your sanity than ensure it. You may want to be available for really urgent situations. So you can share your hotel reception number and put your mobile on off. You may even consider staying in a hotel with wifi restricted to lobby, ensuring less online time!

Step Aside To Meditate

Stress relieving properties of meditation are not under the covers and we try a bit of it every now and then specially before big meetings. It does work, doesn’t it? We could consider going in for the whole thing at least once to check out the effects after all our aim is to refresh our souls! Soak yourself in the vast expanse of serenity you’ll feel from meditation and the rest can wait!
