Lying in isolation, Tughlaqabad Fort is sadly in an extremely disgraceful condition. It’s tumbling down yet huge ramparts stand a silent witness and hope to get renovated. Constructed by the originator of Tughlaq Dynasty, this fort is spread over a vast area and is a piece of architecture marvel. People say that his place is cursed but nothing scientific or conclusive evidence could be found for the same.

Firoz Shah Kotla

Many people are aware of the renowned Firoz Shah Kotla stadium. But only a few are aware of this lost monument. If you are a history buff and fond of visiting ruins, you will love this place. Like many other forgotten monuments, Firoz Shah Kotla has also been neglected by the natives and government. This place should certainly be on the bucket list of every history buff traveling Delhi and should not be missed at all.

Jamali Kamali

This Jamali Kamali tomb and mosque is situated on Mehrauli Road. This mosque was constructed in 1528 during the reign of Emperor Babur. Named after the renowned Sufi Saint Jamali, this place has remained aloof since long. Other than the guards or people who come here with their herds, you’ll hardly find anyone there.

Safdarjung Fort

Safdarjung Fort’s and Humayun’s Tomb have similar structures and both were the representation of political power centuries ago. This place isn’t frequented by the visitors as many people aren’t aware of this architectural wonder. Said to be the last flickering lamp of the Mughal era, this fort is situated on the western end of the Lodhi road and overlooked by many. This magnificent fort surely deserves more visitors.
